As leaders, it's natural to want to support and guide our teams to ensure their success. However, there comes a point when stepping in too frequently or offering excessive direction can hinder their growth and development. In this blog post, we will explore the art of hands-off delegation and how it can empower your team to take ownership of their work, foster their learning, and drive long-term success.

You can do one of two things for the leader you work under; you can make their load lighter, or you can make it heavier.

How can you effectively tap into this potential and cultivate a thriving workforce?

Have you ever found yourself at a loss for words during a coaching conversation? I’ll address the common question I receive ALL the time, “What should I do if I freeze in a coaching conversation?”

These thought-provoking inquiries create a space for self-reflection, learning, and growth, enabling individuals to gain clarity, challenge their assumptions, and discover new possibilities.

May I introduce a new thought? If I gave you a rubber band, how many ways can you think of that that rubber band can be used? I want you to take 2 minutes to write down all the ways that a rubber band can be used.
It may be no surprise to hear that negative thinking is one of the reasons for underachievement. Your life is built on your self-image and that image will depend on what you tell yourself. When you choose (and you do choose) to engage in negative thinking you are deciding to believe in your inability rather than your possibility. But it’s not just you!

“We have policies, processes, and procedures; why can’t my employees just comply?” “We explain the initiatives, and yet no one seems to get it.” “Why is my team disengaged?” It could be that you don’t have a policy or procedure problem, a goals problem, or even a process problem. What you may have, is a “failure to communicate and align your managers.”
The performance of your company is directly tied to the performance of your employees, so one of the best ways to develop your company is to develop the people who work for you.

There’s little you can control in the world. Other people, the stock market, weather, or the price of tea in China are all outside of your influence. Fortunately, you can control yourself, and that’s all you need to control.
